Cuisineart became a player in the kitchen cooking appliances when it developed the ‘food processor’ about 30 year ago. Now they are offering a wide range of products from Microwaves to Coffeemaker to Bread Makers.
The Cuisinart CBK-100 Programmable Breadmaker has pretty much all the features and functions that a beginner bread maker would be looking for. It even includes the necessary measurement equipment and easy to use recipes. For those who can only eat ‘gluten-free’ bread, this machine come with the needed ‘gluten-free’ bread maker cycle and recipes do bake you own gluten free bread.

Important things to note:
  • The ‘beep’ is experiences as very loud.
  • Various users have complained about a breaking kneading paddle.
  • Although the description of this bread maker suggests it, you can’t program your own ‘homemade cycle’
Let’s review the features and functions in the “My Best Bread Maker Review Tool”;
The specs for the Cuisinart CBK-100 Programmable Breadmaker are very similar to the West Bend 41300 Hi-Rise Electronic Dual-Blade Bread maker. It fits the needs of a beginner bread maker by 93%.
For the advanced bread makers or those with special need, the machine does have the special feature ‘Gluten-Free’. Unfortunately the machine is lacking the ability to program your own homemade cycle, neither does it have a sourdough starter. The advanced breadmaker will find a 76% fit for his needs.
